Medical Teams Abroad program provides medical and surgical treatment to children in need all over the world. We assemble volunteer teams of medical, surgical, dental, and healthcare professionals. Following are examples of what it takes to be a member of our teams.

Trip Components

1) Site Selection

  • Pre-visit to site prior to commitment
  • Quantifiable need or availability

2) Volunteer Team Composition

  • Team Leader, MD

  • Surgeons
  • Anesthesiologists
  • CRNA’s
  • Nurses–OR, scrub, rotating, recovery room specialties

  • Technical & ancillary

Medical Trip Costs

Actual Trip Costs to Ica, Peru 2025 with 39 volunteers:

  • Airfares: $29,647
  • In Country Expenses: $16,643 which include hotel, buses, taxis, supplies, meals, travel insurances and permissions through the Ministry of Health to work in Peru.
