I came to volunteer at HTCNE in 1985 when my first son was born.  Throughout the years, I have worked in each program but the medical teams abroad program has always been where my heart is.  I feel honored  to work with the greatest group of people- both medical team personnel, office staff, and Foreign hosts.  It is so rewarding to send these teams out and see the end-results in how many children we were able to help versus bringing in one child at a time.  The gratification is to see how our team changed their life! This organization has changed my life and I feel privileged to have such a rewarding job!

I first volunteered with HTCNE when I was in college back in 2006. I traveled to Bangladesh to assist with a burn team and a cleft repair team. That trip changed my life. From 2006 to 2008, I worked for HTCNE on the Domestic Kids Program. In 2007, I traveled with a HTCNE dental team to Madagascar. After graduating from college with degrees in Social Science & Early Childhood Education, I went on to both volunteer and work for a variety of non-profit organizations, and traveled to over thirty countries to offer my time and skills to those in need. After working for years in the non-profit sector, I decided to become a full time mom and stay home with my two young children. In 2022, I began volunteering in the HTCNE office while my children were at school, and in 2023 I joined the staff as a part time employee. I am thrilled to be back with an organization that holds a special place in my heart.

I first volunteered with HTCNE when I was in high school back in 2018. The summer of 2026 I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and had interned with HTCNE. Now, I will be joining the staff as a part-time employee.  I am looking forward to being involved with the administrative side of a nonprofit organization and the planning that goes into organizing international medical mission trips. Having traveled to Ica, Peru myself, I have seen firsthand the impact these experiences can have on communities and the meaningful connections they create. I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of an organization dedicated to improving children’s lives all over the world.

Administrative Assistant

Throughout the stages of my life, I have always held a deep interest in helping others. The commitment the staff and volunteers share has been a great motivation to take on this new role.  I am excited to learn more about and develop my skills to assist the organization I am so proud to be a part of.
